The consideration of diversity and heterogeneity are regarded as crucial future challenges at north rhine-westphalian universities. So far an initial stocktaking was missing, which allowed for a precise analysis about diversity related measures. To fill this gap the Gender and Women's Research Network's CoRe office contributed the examination of 14 universities, seven university hospitals, 16 universities of applied sciences and seven universities of music and art. On the basis of eight crucial categories the study took diversity management from the universities' perspective as well as measures in science and research into account.
