Social scientist, since November 2017 senior researcher at the Chair for Technology and Organizsation at RWTH Aachen University. Co-lead in the nationally funded project GenderNetz, analysing the influence of micro-political processes and structures of networks on female research careers in engineering and information technology. 

Rich experience in EC funded research:

  • GenderTime (FP7), a coordination and support action on implementing gender equality plans in science and research organizations for achieving structural change.
  • useITsmartly (IEE programme), research project aiming on developing innovative solutions to facilitate young people’s capacity building of smart and green IT use and ideas on how to reach adolescents regarding this topic.  
  • MOTIVATION, a coordination action financed in FP7, focussing on promoting positive images of SET (science, engineering and technology) in young people.
  • PROMETEA (FP6), focussing on women engineers careers in academic and industrial research.
  • WomEng (FP6), a three year research project about women in engineering education and professional sphere.
  • INDECS (FP5), analysing the potentials of interdisciplinary degree courses in engineering, information technology, natural and socio-economic sciences. 

Above Jennifer Dahmen-Adkins worked as subcontractor in the tender “Meta-analysis of gender and science
research” (FP7).
