My current project analyses the German occupation’s impact on Gender orders and hierarchies of the occupied societies during WWII as well as their re-negoatiation in the aftermath of the occupation. The main focus of my analysis lies on the politics on families and their everyday lives as the social units where prevailing Gender orders were reproduced and/or challenged on an everyday life basis and which, at the same time, were (and still remain) one of the main targets of political decision makers and other interest groups, such as churches. Geographically, my project focuses on Poland and France while regarding both countries from a pan-European perspective.
