Vita

Henrike Bloemen is doing her PhD in political science at the interface of political theory and gender studies at the University of Münster. In her doctoral project, she is investigating the possibilities offered by Antonio Gramsci's writings, particularly the concept of 'Common Sense' for analysing the gendered materialisation of social relations of power and domination.

Henrike Bloemen studied political science in the Franco-German double degree between Sciences Po Lille and the University of Münster. From 2017 to 2024, she was a research assistant at the Chair of Theory and Politics of Gender Relations at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Münster. 2018 she completed a research stay at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., USA. From 2018 to 2024, Henrike Bloemen took over the (co-)management of the Centre for European Gender Studies (ZEUGS) at the University of Münster. From April to September 2024, she held a scholarship from the Heinrich Hertz Foundation, and since April 2024, she has been a Visiting Scholar at the Centre of Interdisciplinary Gender Studies Innsbruck, at the University of Innsbruck.
