Aesthetic practice & text
After studying natural and artificial languages/linguistics, German studies, comparative studies, philosophy and sociology in Tübingen and Cologne, I quickly got abroad and into the arts. Since the textual, poetic, sound-based and performative arts are more of a marginal genre in Germany, I returned to the academic field with side-trips to editing, sound production, recording and broadcasting. Since my studies I have pursued the focus of queer, feminist, intersectional gender research in relational aesthetics, which regards poetic and other knowledge and practice as an important part of my own artistic research.
Since 2007 I have held a professorship for text and aesthetic practice, Faculty of Social and Cultural Studies at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences. In the BA programm "Social Work" and the MA program “Culture, Aesthetics, Media” I offer transdisciplinary, scientific and artistic text seminars for students from different fields.

Committee work (Senator (until 2015), member of the faculty council, AG Digitization, AG Gender Research, course director, module officer, etc.
Excursions, invitations from guests/artist talks/performances/lecture series etc.

Professorship for the Art of Language/Head of the Institute for the Art of Language, University of Applied Arts, Vienna (50%/2018–2019).
