Focus of Work

Cultural and social studies related research on Japan with emphasis on: Research on foreignness related to interculturalism and cultural studies, the cultural identity question and concepts of subjectivity in the process of Japanese modernisation as well as comparative Gender Studies related to Germany and Japan
