From 1995 until 2014 Network Professorship "Legal rights in social policy with particular reference to women specific problems".

November 2001 to June 2005 Dean of the Social Sciences Faculty of the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences; 1989 to 1997 Pro-Vice-Chancellor for teaching, study and study reform at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences; since 1981 professor in the Social Work Department of the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences, initially for the field "Administration and Organisation", since 1995 for the field "Law in Social Practice with Particular Emphasis on Issues Specific to Women".

Dr. juris (1981) with a dissertation on a labour law subject; professional activity as independent lawyer (1976) and as a research associate at the Ruhr University Bochum (1979); 1975 second state law examinations in NRW; 1972 first state law examinations in Bavaria; legal preparation service; 1968 degree in law at the Universities of Bochum and Würzburg.

Focus of Work

Teaching, practical projects and application-related research and development projects including Diplom theses in the following areas: social security law (integrating issues and problems specific to women). Legal issues on labour and professional work (particularly regarding the professional practice of social work). Legal and social aspects of women's options for securing their livelihood inside and outside of employment relationships. Actual and statutory conditions of social work in professional practice - status quo and perspectives for development in relation to the qualification and skills profile.
