In 2013, a database was initiated based on the statistical analyses of the Gender Report and its wealth of data. The report focuses on official data of North Rhine-Westphalia's universities sponsored by the state. The statistics portal makes gender-related higher education data accessible for free and on detailed levels. The data can be compiled on demand. The target group includes higher education and gender policy actors as well as researchers.
Gender-differentiated data on staff (professors, scientific and artistic staff, technical and administrative staff), university management bodies and the various qualification levels are available on demand. In addition to undergraduate studies and the different types of degrees, doctorates and habilitations can also be accessed. These data can be combined with other data (e.g. type of university, subject group). The portal offers possibilities for statistical cross-sectional and longitudinal analyses over a period from 2000 up to the most recent available data. The statistics portal was launched in 2014 and is updated annually.
